SUPPORT

THE JACOB WEILAND MEMORIAL FUND

The City of Bridges community lost one of our own this winter. As we have grieved and celebrated the life of Jacob Christopher Weiland, we have also been working to set up a lasting way to honor his memory.

In partnership with The Pittsburgh Foundation, City of Bridges High School has established the Jacob Weiland Memorial Fund to honor a student who was much loved and will be deeply missed.

Jacob was curious, passionate, kind and enthusiastic about life and learning. City of Bridges High School offered him the space to thrive. His memorial fund will enable us to ensure that other young people who are curious, passionate, kind and enthusiastic can join our community regardless of their financial situation.

The fund has been opened with a generous donation of $15,000 from a member of the City of Bridges family and many other donations from friends, family and community members honoring Jacob's memory.

We are hoping to match that amount from our larger community so that we can ensure scholarship support for one or more students for the coming school year.

Jacob's memory will always live on at City of Bridges High School and this fund will help extend his legacy for years to come.
